The American Institute of Martial Arts takes great care in making sure your credentials are respected. These are the official certificates recognized by the international.

Kohai Certificate

This official Kohai certificate recognizes the individual for their participation in the American Institute of Martial Arts International Instructor certification course at the apprentice level. The base parameters include instrutor recommendation, current rank grading at a minimum of green belt (intermediate level) or equivilent belt color coding, and a passing completion of the AIMA-IICC under the apprentice grading requirements. This allows an individual to assist a certified "instructor."

Sempai Certificate

This official Sempai certificate recognizes the individual for their participation in the American Institute of Martial Arts International Instructor certification course at the assistant instructor level. The base parameters include instrutor recommendation, current rank grading at a minimum of Black Belt (advanced level), The required logged hours as an apprentice and a passing completion of the AIMA-IICC under the assistant instructor grading requirements. This allows an individual to practice as an "instructor" and to conduct classes. The Sempai certification even at black belt level does not constitute recognition for the title of Sensei.
